The upcoming zombie flick DEAD RISING: WATCHTOWER has released its final trailer and this one keeps looking better and better. The film is directed by Zach Lipovsky, written by Tim Carter, and stars Keegan Connor Tracy, Meghan Ory, Virginia Madsen, Jesse Metcalfe, Dennis Haysbert, and Rob Riggle. DEAD RISING: WATCHTOWER is based on the very popular zombie video game and will be streaming on Crackle starting on March 27, 2015. Check out the plot crunch:
The story follows Chase Carter (Jesse Metcalfe), an online reporter trying to make it big – but the pursuit of his career-defining story leads him into the heart of a zombie-infested warzone. The quarantined city quickly erupts into carnage and anarchy, becoming a deathtrap he’ll be lucky to escape. Chase joins forces with a desperate band of survivors. Crystal (Meghan Ory) is tough and independent, and may be the key to exposing the conspiracy behind the mysterious outbreak. But when she is bitten, their greatest asset may become their biggest threat.

I think this is a pretty damn important and big event. If Crackle pulls this off this will be yet another avenue for filmmakers – releasing films directly to streaming services.
